OXBOW RIDE THE SKY : Weather Warning!!
Riders of Oxbow Ride The Sky presented by Naish are eyeing winds and waves at Ho’okipa for this last week of holding period!! According to Windguru.com, the surf forecasts could be good on Wednesday, April 27th with 10-20 miles per hour E/NE trade winds. We are only waiting for a good swell to run the event. Everybody is ready to start this international windsurf contest.
Whatever will happen, Oxbow Ride the Sky officials will choose the best possible conditions for the unique day of the competition that will pit 20 world-class windsurfers vying for cash prizes that will be awarded to the highest air and best trick. The highest air will be awarded a $100 per foot and $2,500 will go to best trick winner.
A celebrity panel of watermen will be judging this event: Maui windsurfers Mark Angulo, Oxbow rider Baptiste Gossein, as well as 2010 ASP World Longboard Champ Duane Desoto.
We stand to the forecasts for tomorrow and the next few days in case the conditions will not be as big as we expected. The Oxbow Ride The Sky waiting period ends on April, 30th. Oxbow Ride the Sky will be livecast performance data broadcasting on epicsessions.tv while the event is happening.

D’après Windguru.com, les conditions météorologiques pourraient-être favorables pour mercredi 27 avril avec un vent de 10-20 miles par heure E/NE. Il ne manque plus qu’une forte houle pour lancer l’évent. Tout le monde se tient prêt pour débuter cette compétition internationale de windsurf.
Quoiqu’il en soit, les organisateurs du Oxbow Ride the Sky choisiront les meilleures conditions possibles pour ce seul jour de compétition. Il regroupera 20 windsurfers mondiaux rivalisant pour l’aérial le plus haut ($100 per foot), le meilleur trick ($2,500) et le pire wipeout.
Des watermen expérimentés seront juges lors cet événement: le windsurfer de Maui Mark Angulo, le windsurfer Oxbow Baptiste Gossein, ainsi que le champion du monde ASP 2010 de longboard Duane Desoto.
